Practical experience on the way to university
After two years, you’ll complete a practice-oriented training programme that will secure you a place in the world of work on the one hand, and direct entry to a university of applied sciences on the other. If, after completing your federal baccalaureate, you’d like to gain work experience or use your vocational baccalaureate to gain in-depth knowledge of application development, you’ve come to the right place.
Tasks
As an IT Specialist (EFZ) specialising in application development, you identify clients’ needs, devise solutions to problems and present these to the client. You analyse and assess problems and suggest appropriate improvements. You develop software applications, test them and document them. You improve existing software and are responsible for ensuring it runs smoothly.
Requirements
The ability to work independently and systematically, logical and abstract thinking skills, quick comprehension and the ability to make connections, a good visualisation ability, a strong ability to concentrate, perseverance, the ability to work in a team and an enthusiasm for experimentation.
- Successful completion of federal baccalaureate
- Successful completion of an EFZ qualification, including the successful completion of the vocational baccalaureate
