The Berner Sternenmarkt is THE star in Bern’s Christmas market sky: last winter, more than 150,000 visitors strolled through the Kleine Schanze, visited the pop-up fondue chalet and the outdoor bars, and let themselves be swept up in the Christmas spirit by the design and craftsmanship, street food from all over the world, and the glittering lights of the stars. This year, the Sternenmarkt will be enchanting visitors from 19 November 2026 to 27 December 2026. Come on board and become part of the Sternenmarkt success story.
Place of work: Sternenmarkt, Kleine Schanze, Bern
Duration of employment: by agreement
Working hours: 10.00 am to midnight (two shifts)
Tasks
- You’ll be responsible for providing top-class service and looking after our guests
- You’ll keep your cool, even when lots of guests want to order at the same time
- You’ll put a smile on our guests’ faces with your friendly manner, fine cheese specialities and delicious drinks
- You’ll work with great passion and dedication
Requirements
- Work experience as a service assistant or a highly motivated career changer
- A strong commitment to quality and a sense of responsibility
- A team player, flexible and able to work under pressure
- Good command of German; knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- A passionate host
