Senior Logistics & Production Planning Manager

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Logistics Manager to lead our end-to-end logistics operations across all production areas. This high-impact role will act with responsibility for strategic decision-making, leadership across two organizational levels, and driving operational excellence in line with company objectives.
Your Responsibilities
Logistics Operations & Strategy:
- Define and drive logistics strategies to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost-effectiveness across all logistics functions.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Logistics Team Leader to ensure seamless execution of warehousing operations including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Oversee the design, optimization, and implementation of raw material supply methods aligned with production needs.
- Lead the rollout and continuous improvement of logistics ERP systems and digital tools (e.g., Factory Track, Shopfloor, and the new ERP implementation project).
- Support the integration of new business units and processes into the Aquis Group from a logistics standpoint, ensuring alignment with group standards.
Inventory Management:
- Set strategic direction for inventory management policies and ensure their execution via the Logistics Team Leader.
- Oversee the monitoring and optimization of inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing working capital and excess stock.
- Ensure integrity of inventory records by driving effective stock control processes, discrepancy resolution, and system alignment.
- Establish KPIs for slow-moving and obsolete stock, and lead action planning with the logistics team to mitigate waste and optimize warehouse space.
Production & Planning Support:
- Direct and support the Production Planning Team Leader in achieving planning KPIs and maintaining alignment with production priorities.
- Oversee the planning function to ensure timely intake of finished orders and the effective adjustment of production plans on a daily/weekly basis.
- Provide strategic oversight of material planning across the entire logistics flow—from raw materials to semi-finished and finished goods.
- Ensure the accuracy and relevance of production master data (e.g., bill of materials, routings, lot sizes) and support its maintenance within the ERP system (Infor LN).
Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead, develop, and empower a multi-level logistics team, including direct managers and their teams.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and drive logistics excellence.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, internal logistics standards, and ISO requirements.
- Track logistics KPIs and implement initiatives to improve cost, productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in Logistics Management, with strong expertise in supply chain and inventory processes.
- Operational management experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; capable of managing teams and working cross-functionally.
- ERP system experience is required; familiarity with Infor LN is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and production planning tools.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an asset.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to logistics challenges.
