As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking for a new colleague to join us in the role of
Embedded Software Engineer 100%
at our Swiss headquarter in Dietikon (Zurich). In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in optical engineering to the development of innovative opto-mechatronic systems, making a significant impact on the future of diagnostics and life sciences.
What you can expect:
- Design, develop, and implement test [BM1] embedded systems for optomechanical devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Conduct testing and validation of embedded systems to ensure reliability and functionality
- Support in the further development of our development processes
Your profile:
- Several years of experience in the development of embedded systems software targeting ARM microcontrollers, ideally also with real-time requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in C, /C++ and willing to learn further programming languages if required.
- Experience with writing drivers for peripherals like sensors, motor controllers, cameras, etc, from scratch based on hardware datasheets or adapt existing drivers.
- Experience in the development of medical or IVD products is an advantage, ideally according to IEC 62304
- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (Zephyr is a plus)
- Experience with Embedded Linux is a plus (Yocto and/or Buildroot)[GU1] [GU2]
- Experience in FPGA programming is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability
- Proficiency in English both in verbal and written form
- Willingness to embrace and adapt to emerging technologies and continuously expand knowledge.
