Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted and credible technical expert for our customers.
  • Support the sales team in the opportunity generation and qualification, elaborating, presenting, and convincing the customers of the benefits of our technical solutions with your solid technical and product development expertise, including:
    • Conducting workshops and consulting projects for customers, e.g., to clarify customer needs/challenges or discuss options for solutions.
    • Scoping and development of tailored solutions in cooperation with customers and specialists from our development team, including evaluating technical plausibility and risks with calculations and laboratory setups where necessary.
  • Actively participate in bidding efforts by:
    • Handing over critical information to the development team.
    • Detailing the scope of work, solution and estimating efforts and product costs in cooperation with our development team.
  • Support ongoing programs as an internal consultant to our product managers and development teams to manage change requests from customers, identify new needs and adapt our development and manufacturing scope.
Your profile:
  • System engineer with a natural sales talent: excellent communication and presentation skills and enjoyment in customer interactions for addressing their needs.
  • Proven experience developing complex products in a multidisciplinary setting, particularly in optical metrology techniques such as fluorescence, absorption/transmission, spectrometry, and imaging.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of inspiring customers and designing solutions that address market needs.
  • Proficient in needs definition, requirements engineering, design thinking, solution architecture sketching, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with IVD product development under ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
  • Experience in assay development, data analytics and software development are a plus.
  • Skilled in moderating small groups and facilitating technical workshops for project definition.
  • A self-motivated, reliable individual with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Curious and able to quickly learn new technical concepts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of the time, primarily to the USA and Europe.
  • Business fluency in English and German. French is a plus.
  • A technical or scientific university degree, with a preference for a Master's or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, optics, physics, biochemistry or a related field is required.
What we offer:

You will benefit from short decision-making processes and long-term prospects as well as targeted training opportunities. Your workplace is located in a modern office building with a roof terrace within walking distance of Dietikon train station. You can expect an exciting and varied role in a dynamic and fast-growing company with integrated cooperation with our US sister company.
